Sensory Images

This is an example of what I have started calling a sensory image. I don’t think thats an original term but it seems to sum up for me how i feel when I look at these kinds of photos.

I don’t think an image needs to be of a face or a beautiful scene in order to move people. Sometimes its enough that that image holds a kind of  suggestion or an idea of something to follow for it to move me.

The image below shows the hands of two pageboys hastily trying to fold their pocket squares. I think its the anticipation and the idea that they are trying to look as best they can for their dad’s wedding that gives this image new life.
